This digital download helps bring your family into conversation over dinner - whether you are stuck in CONFINMENT or simply COCOONING.

Roll the dice to start a conversation. Here are three dice: one on family history, another on its destiny, and a third about life today. Each die has six questions - on the past, future or present. Designed to stir memories, hopes and emerging sentiments. A fun way to stimulate conversation, and elicit dialogue along with all of it's positive attributes.

1. MAKE YOUR DICE

Materials: Get your scissors, a glue stick and some heavy printing paper. Instructions: Print and decorate your dice. (It’s easier, while the paper is flat!) Then, cut out the dice, fold on the dotted lines and glue together. Bravo, you’re ready to roll!

2. ROLL THE DICE

In this activity, you have three dice: one on family history, another on its destiny, and a third about life today. Over dinner, roll one cube and explore the question that pops up. Tip: listen to each person’s response to a question; then discuss the emerging theme.

3. HAVE A THINK

After dinner, pull out your journal and reflect on:

  • What helped us be in conversation?
  • What hindered, diminished or blocked our conversation?
  • What insights were discovered?

4. SHARE AND REPEAT

Before your next dinner, exchange views on what helped, hindered & was learnt last time. Then roll the dice and try it again. Share your tips socially @sharingdialogue #helpsdialogue #hindersdialogue #dialogueinsights
